Whiteford Today | Childcare | Ministries | HOME

One does not read very far into the Holy Scriptures before becoming aware of God's awesome love for the inhabitants of this planet.

He sent His Son into this world to die in order to redeem us from our sin, and now He sends us into the world to proclaim the message of the finished work of the Cross.

It is the same message we preach here at home. It is a liberating message, with the power forever to change the lives of those who hear it. We cannot fail to share it with our lost and dying world.

At great personal sacrifice and dedication, our faithful missionaries hold high the banner of the Cross on foreign fields of service. They need our love, our support and our prayers. Only together can we do the job dearest to our Savior's heart.

-the late Dr. Wayne Wall, Founding Pastor

RBC Ministries
Founded by M. R. De Haan was a physician who later in life became a pastor - well known for his gravelly voice and impassioned Bible teaching. His commitment to ministry was: to lead people of all nations to personal faith and maturity in Christ. So in 1938, from a small radio station in eastern Detroit, Michigan a Bible Class was born. Suddenly, the spiritual doctor was making house calls - to hundreds of thousands of Scripture-hungry listeners.

Lexington Interfaith Community Services (L.I.C.S.)
The mission of this organization is to provide assistance for individuals and families who are emerging from hurting situations by providing for basic needs and by creating environments which allow people to make hopeful life changes.

Gideons International
The Gideons International serves as an extended missionsary arm of the church; Our sole purpose is to win men, women, boys and girls to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through association for service, personal testimony and distributing the Bible in the human traffic lanes and streams of everyday life.

Hannah House
Columbia, SC is a non-profit temporary shelter for homeless women and children. Hannah House provides temporary shelter, meals and necessities for oppressed women and children who are homeward bound, in a structured Christian environment, allowing them the chance to break the destructive cycle of domestic violence, chronic poverty and crippling addiction. Many of these women and children arrive with nothing other than the clothes they are wearing. Hannah House has 41 beds and can accommodate up to 23 children and their moms, as well as approximately 10 women without children. The children and their mother sleep together in the same room. Residents are required and take turns performing household chores such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, etc. School age children attend public school. Younger children attend day-care while their moms work or are interviewing for job prospects.
